Summary:
|
Upgrade the agriculture program currently offered at Bloomfield High School. The upgrades include making operational and program changes which entails:
*Relocating the greenhouse to an area that will provide more space to students for agricultural studies.
*Explore advanced farming techniques such as hydroponics that are currently used in the workplace.
*Create a space for solar energy stations that can be used to investigate green energy such as electrical and water heating systems which are at the center of the global green energy initiative.
*Creating a barn space on school property to house and board animals for students to care for and learn how to maintain them properly. The barn space will include stalls for animal keep, a feed room, a tack room, and a washing bay.
*Creating an external growing space where students can cultivate crops
The proposed budget is included.
